LIFE Groups (Living In Faith Every-day)
LIFE Groups (Living In Faith Every-day) are a great way to meet new friends who will support you in your walk of faith. The members LIFE Groups start out with common interests, so it is natural for the group to focus on what God has to say about what you deal with on a daily basis. LIFE Groups are fun, challenging, and when you are part of a LIFE Group; you are part of a LIFE Group: nobody gets left behind.
LIFE Groups can meet any time, day or night. They can meet at someone’s home, at a restaurant, at work, or any other place that is convenient for the members. Membership is intentionally kept to no more than 15 people. There is also a group covenant that addresses things like confidentiality, mutual respect, starting on time, etc. At the first or second meeting, the members agree upon their goals and ground rules. In the meetings that follow, a facilitator works to keep the group on-track and on-covenant. The group can change their covenant if they like. Every meeting includes time for prayer and the group should, at least occasionally, put their faith into action by performing some kind of service for others – in the name of Christ. The purpose of all these details is to encourage the development of meaningful relationships with God and one another.
LIFE Groups are relatively new to our church, so please join us as we pray for new people to identify themselves as potential servant-leaders. When, through mutual discernment, we conclude that someone is truly called to this ministry, we will provide all the training, materials and support that are required to launch a new LIFE Group.
